Brad: Jim, I think, can attest to every director’s greatest fear whenever they’d get a script and there was children in it. Wyatt or Chris, they’d go, “Oh, God., no.”
Jim: They were twins who played the role and they both hated being in front of the camera. They were afraid of it. So many scenes, they’re not even there. We green-screened them in later. Especially if something scary was happening or if there was any effect involved.
Brad: Jim, if I might interject, I think you’re wholly responsible for that. In an episode you did, that I think I wrote, where we had manticores in there and you scared the hell out of them.
Kaley: What’s a manticore? It sounds scary.
Brad: It was a prosthetic demon that was really scary-looking. And so traumatized the kids.
Kaley: Oh, my God.
Brad: I actually got a call from Alyssa from the set saying: “You’re traumatizing the children.”

DOUBLE TROUBLE
Cute child actors Jason and Kristopher Simmons are a tad young to take interviews, so their mom, Maria, took time out from her motherly duties to comment on her charming sons’ three-year stint as Wyatt Halliwell
When Charmed was in production, gorgeous actors such as Holly Marie Combs, Rose McGowan, and Alyssa Milano got most of the media attention. But the supremely precocious soul, or souls, of the series came from its two youngest actors, twin brothers Jason and Kristopher Simmons, who knew how to have fun, but also knew when it was time for business – even if they were only a couple of years old at the time. The tow-headed tots shared the role of Wyatt Halliwell, the older, magically delicious son of Piper (Combs) and Leo (Brian Krause.) During a break in filming last summer, the kids’ young mother, Ecuador – born Maria Simmons, sat down for a brief conversation about her sons’ fledgling acting career, their time on the Charmed set and what may be next for the young blonde boys.
